On behalf of the volunteer board of Directors for Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League, welcome to the 2022 MBYLL Season!
I’d like to thank the thousands of volunteer town leaders and coaches who make town youth lacrosse happen in Massachusetts! Without them, no practices or games would be possible. I’d like to thank all the parents for signing your kids up to play youth lacrosse, getting them the proper gear, driving them to practices and games, and supporting them in playing this great sport.
Excited to welcome the 22 Girls Programs, 275 coaches and 2,000 girls lacrosse players who joined MBYLL this year! Our mission is to grow the game and provide for all boys AND girls in Massachusetts and we look forward to putting resources and efforts into the girls game.
Our motto at MBYLL for 2022 is “Creating Life Long Lovers of the Sport of Lacrosse”. We want to see competitive games where everyone is trying their best to win, but doing so while respecting: rules, opponents, officials, teammates and selves (ROOTS). If we all do this, we will form the foundation towards creating life long lover of lacrosse!
While games can be exciting, nerve wracking, joyous and even at times disappointing, please take a moment to take in the pure joy of kids playing sports with their friends, learning new skills, creating friendships and memories that can last a life-time!
Wishing everyone a fun, safe, competitive and enjoyable spring lacrosse season! We hope to see all of you at the MBYLL Jamboree on June 11-12, 18-19 in Devens, MA!
